Last updated: 4 May 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your experience.
2. Cookies We Use
Sorted uses minimal cookies to provide core functionality:
Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are necessary for Sorted to function and cannot be disabled:
- Authentication token (JWT): Keeps you logged in between sessions
- Name:
sorted_auth_token - Expiry: 30 days
- Purpose: Session management, security
- Name:
Analytics Cookies (Currently Not Used)
We do not currently use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, etc.). If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy and request your consent.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services we use may set their own cookies:
- Stripe (payment processing): Stripe may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare (hosting/CDN): Cloudflare may set cookies for security and performance. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We do not control third-party cookies. Please review their privacy policies for details.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies
Note: Disabling essential cookies (authentication token) will prevent you from logging in to Sorted. Other functionality may also be affected.
5. Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Since we don't use tracking cookies, this setting has no effect on Sorted. We respect your privacy regardless.
6. Updates to This Policy
If we start using analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we'll:
- Update this Cookie Policy with details of the new cookies
- Request your consent before setting non-essential cookies (as required by GDPR)
- Provide an easy opt-out mechanism
